I am a BACP registered Psychotherapist, with an integrative approach to Counselling and Psychotherapy that allows me to adapt therapy to my client's individual needs. What works for one person, may not work for another and as an Integrative Therapist, therapy is tailored to the needs of the client using elements of person-centred, existential, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy. To promote healing and facilitate wholeness, integrative therapy ensures that all levels of being and functioning are fully maximised. Emotions, behaviours, thoughts and physiology, in addition to social and spiritual aspects are all explored. Relationships from childhood may also be explored and all of this helps to facilitate the coming together of mind, body, feeling, and soul as a whole. I work with clients to recognise triggers, change unhelpful patterns of behaviour and create personal and behavioural change. One of the most important aspects of my approach is the quality of the relationship between myself and my client. I am warm, non-judgmental and empathetic and can offer a safe, friendly, supportive and confidential space in which difficulties and concerns can be shared and perhaps most importantly where they can feel seen, heard and understood.
