About me

My theoretical approach varies from client to client, depending on what each person brings to the session. In the beginning of sessions, I look forward in getting to know the person by talking about hobbies/interests, including what have your experiences been in therapy or what you are looking forward to in therapy. My sessions consist of exploring the past, present, and future, including discovering new ways to manage symptoms and experiences. My education consists of Rehabilitation Counseling in Mental Health; however, I have experience working with children to adulthood. The population of clients has varied depending on the work environment I have been engaged in. I have worked in a domestic violence facility and a substance abuse facility. Currently, I work with individuals and families who have trauma, conflict with relationships, and difficulty with the management of current symptoms they are experiencing. It is important to implement self-care within sessions as well. I am genuine, empathetic, and understanding with every client who wants to explore themselves and the life experiences they have been through. I enjoy listening and being there for others who want to explore what life has brought them. I love to help people become more aware of themselves in finding a path to a better future for themselves.
